The Mimbres patterns are 16-sided Blocks with Borders, Foundation Paper Piecing patterns and was designed by Lisa Fryxell.
Mimbres Man:
The Mimbres lived in southwestern New Mexico over 1000 years ago. They left behind beautiful black and white bowls that still look very modern. This foundation paper pieced pattern shows a fierce MImbreño warrior. Used this block alone as a pillow or small wall hanging or group with other Mimbres designs for a larger quilt or throw. Finished size without sashing is 19 1/2” x 19 1/2".
