Picture Piecing Traditional Quilts is an 8 1/2" x 11" book with 154 pages in a special lay-flat binding and full color throughout. The quilts in the book are entirely machine pieced with all straight-line piecing, even the details that look like applique from a distance. Unlike foundation and paper-piecing, with Cynthia's Picture Piecing technique you work from the right side of the fabric and there is no paper to pick out at the end. Best of all, cheating is encouraged to get your blocks perfect!

Great for beginners! This beautiful book was written to introduce the Picture Piecing technique to traditional quilters.

There are 17 Gorgeous projects inside, from table runners to large quilts appealing to all levels. 

• Picture Pieced block projects inside are all 6” finished. The designs can be interchanged in the projects. For instance, instead  of having Rose Buds in the center of the Windswept Roses quilt, change it to Violets.
• In the Traditional Quilts section of the book there are quilts that have no Picture Piecing in them.
• Traditional quilt designs have an area which is a 6” finished block. So, if you wanted to, a Picture Pieced design could be dropped in. 

Fabric kits are available for most of the book’s projects.
