Oregon has several mountains the most prominent of which is Mount Hood keeping watch over the city of Portland. Part of the Cascade Range, this beautiful sentinel is surrounded by pristine lakes and forest.

The quilt in the picture has been done in a combination of hand appliqué and raw-edge machine appliqué; however, it may be constructed using any appliqué methods.
